Each year Waxahachie ISD Partners in Education Program recognizes many businesses and volunteers across the school district. Individual campuses also select a Business of the Year, and John Houston Homes was honored to be chosen by Max H. Simpson Elementary School.

Darla Wilson, principal, shares, “Simpson Elementary would like to honor John Houston Homes as our 2020-2021 Business of the Year. The beginning of the year brought many challenges and the John Houston team stepped in and made those challenges seem less overwhelming through their caring and generous spirit. They provided lunch and a gift bag filled with great items for each staff member, but more importantly prayed for our staff, our principal, and our students as we were about to embark on a new journey in unprecedented times! Mr. Houston said to call on him if we ever needed anything. So, when the need arose for every student to have their own water bottle as a health safety measure, we asked, and they delivered over 500 bottles with our Simpson logo! An added touch of kindness we were not expecting! We are so thankful for all they have done for Simpson Elementary and proud to be partners and neighbors with John Houston Homes!”
